Solve any Rubik's Cube from 2x2 to 7x7
Paint the colors of your cube onto the picture, or scan it with your camera. Press Solve and follow each move on a 3D cube. Everything runs in your browser, so it keeps working offline after your first visit.
- Pick your cube size, from 2x2 up to 7x7.
- Tap the stickers to paint the colors of your cube, or scan it with the camera.
- Press Solve, then follow the moves one at a time on the 3D cube.

Frequently asked questions
How do I solve my Rubik's Cube with this solver?
Pick your cube size, then paint the stickers to match your cube or scan it with your camera. Press Solve and the app shows the solution one move at a time on a 3D cube. Follow the moves in order, and use the playback buttons to pause, step back or replay a move.
How does the solver work?
It runs in your browser. A 3x3 is solved with the Kociemba two-phase algorithm, and a cube that is only a few turns from solved gets an exact shortest answer. A 2x2 is solved by searching for the shortest route. A 4x4 and bigger cubes are solved by reduction: the center pieces first, then the paired edges, then the rest like a 3x3.
Can I scan my cube with the camera, and is it private?
Yes. Press Scan with camera, allow camera access and show the six faces one at a time. The colors are read on your device and the images never leave it. Lighting matters, so check the colors afterwards and repaint any sticker that was read wrongly.
Which cube sizes are supported?
Every size from 2x2 to 7x7. Choose the size with the picker above the cube, or open the 2x2, 3x3 or 4x4 page directly. Bigger cubes take longer to solve and need many more moves, because every center and edge piece has to be put in place.
What does Teach me (beginner method) do?
On a 2x2 or 3x3, Teach me solves the cube one layer at a time with the method most beginners learn, and it names every step. The solution is much longer, around 175 moves on a 3x3 instead of about 20, but it is easier to learn from and to follow by hand.
Does it work offline?
Yes. After your first visit the app saves itself on your device, so you can reload it and solve a cube without an internet connection. The very first visit needs to be online.
What are cube patterns like the checkerboard and how do I make them?
A pattern is a pretty design you make by turning a solved 3x3 with a short list of moves, for example the checkerboard with six half turns. Open the Patterns page, pick one and follow the moves on the 3D cube. Press Apply to my cube to load it, then Solve to see how to undo it.
What is CFOP and how is it different from the beginner method?
CFOP is the method most speedcubers use. You solve a cross, then the first two layers together (F2L), then orient the last layer (OLL) and permute it (PLL). It needs about 120 algorithms to learn in full, but the solve is far shorter than the beginner method, which solves one layer at a time. The CFOP page lists every F2L, OLL and PLL case with printable PDF cards.
